"A fender bender is never fun, however, Gerber made the experience painless. I dropped the car off on a Monday morning and the rental car came quickly. After several texts keeping me up to speed on the progress and a call from Gary, my car was ready to go a few days later. Though I thought I'd left early enough from work to get there before closing, I was sad to realize the store was closed. As I prepared to pull out, I noticed a group of people talking in the parking lot. I pulled up to confirm when they open in the morning and was shocked when they said, "there's no reason to come back in the morning, we'll get your car right now!" Gary, Josh and a nice young woman opened up the store and got me back on the road. I can't tell you how much that meant. Though I drive route 88 every day, Downers Grove is a bit of a detour ... and I was really happy that I didn't have to make the extra trip. While the experience was orderly and everyone was friendly and helpful, a special recognition must go to GARY. Gary went above and beyond to ensure that my repair was completed quickly and efficiently. He was knowledgable, capable and exhibited excellent customer service. If I were his boss, i would immediately give him a raise. I have not any hesitation in saying that I would return to Gerber just because of Gary. Thank you all.

I am very happy with the service I received from Gerber. My insurance company gave me a few choices of local companies to take my car to and I am glad I picked Gerber. They gave me updates when they said they would and I liked getting the updates via text message. I really appreciated that they were able to finish my car before their estimated completion date, and now my car looks better than it did before my accident.

Josh was very helpful and kept in close contact with us while my car was in their possession. He went above and beyond by having my car ready 3 days before the promise date. Also, when I went to pick up my vehicle and noticed damage that was not fixed Josh ordered a new mirror for me and had it painted when he didn't have to. Great service!

"Timothy Layne, Production Manager, at the Downers Grove facility provided warranty service that was beyond compare. Our car had substantial collision repairs done over two years ago. We encountered a problem with the drivers side door handle, and received a quote for repair from the dealer that seemed unreasonable. I called Gerber to see if this part would be covered by the Gerber Guarantee. Initially, I found out that this part was not replaced during our previous collision repair, so therefore, not covered by the warranty. Tim followed up with me a short time later and said that they would replace the part, " I just don't like to see people being taken advantage of - the repair/replacement quote the dealer gave to you was completely out of reason" Tim went out of his way to provide superior service. I would like to thank the team at Gerber (Downers Grove). From start to finish this process was as good of an experience as you can have when getting your car fixed. The team gave me a quick estimate, communicated status every couple days, and delivered 2 days early. They were very professional, courteous, and all around nice. The work done on my car was done to the highest standards. I am writing this today to share my unexpected, but wonderful experience at the Downers Grove, IL location yesterday. After a long day of work, I had accidentaly shut my care door on one of the pylons in the parking garage, which caused the bottom corner of my door to bend out. I drove straigt to Gerber Collision because I was familiar with the area, and hear the radio ads all the time. My intent was to obtain a quote, and was not going to involve the insurance company. The estimator assigned to my car was Gary Wilmoth. Gary had initially said in order to get the door perfect again, it would require repainting the door, etc. I had said my initial goal was just to get that corner bent back so that no one would cut themselves walking by my car. He asked me to wait a few moments, and then took me back to my car. I was amazed to see that the ... car was fixed! There is a little crease were the door had been bent, but it was put back in place and was hardly recognizable. I had asked Gary how much this will cost, and he told me it was no charge. I cannot tell you how much this turned my day from a nightmare to one with a good ending. If I am ever in need of repair work done on my car, I will absolutely bring it to Gerber. I have only great things to say about my experience at Gerber. The people were professional and courteous, and my repair service was quick and thorough. Gerber even fixed a loose plastic panel at no extra charge. I also had several update calls, so I knew exactly what was happening with my vehicle. In addition, Gerber made dealing with the insurance company and the rental car company a seamless transaction. I hope I don't ever need collision repair again, but if I do, I will definitely take me vehicle to Gerber to take advantage of their superior service and lifetime guarantee.
