I purchased my GMC Acadia in April 2014 and 2 days after I had it a young lady backed up into me. Gerber did a wonderful jog on the car,. 2 weeks after the damage was fixed another person hit my right front leaving a dent that needed to be fixed. After the dent was repaired not a week later someone scratched the same front right side. Gary Wilmoth suggested to try and touch up and buff it out instead of going for the $600 repair. I was hesitant but I am glad I went with Gary's suggestion because it really looks great. All for no cost to me, which was a very nice surprise. Also one extra no cost priceless item Gary also took care off was to remove the jinx or bulls eye on my car which I hope to test in the next couple of weeks.

I brought my car in for auto body repair on August 5. I was guaranteed that a rental car would be there for me to pick up at 8:00 a.m. There was a good 30 minute wait until I was told that I should go to Enterprise down the street and that they would have a car waiting for me. I waited another 25 minutes only to be given an SUV (I requested a car comparable to my Honda Civic). I took the SUV because I was already late for work. Enterprise brought me another vehicle to my work to exchange the same day. I picked up my vehicle on August 13. The entire inside of my car was covered with a layer of dust (air vents, inside center council and every crevice in between). My boyfriend informed me a day later that the hubcap and mud flap were still the damaged ones. I had to go back into Gerber on August 15th to show them the incomplete work. Jason ... was very helpful and promised to take care of everything and informed me that once the parts came in, they would contact me to fix these issues. He informed me that Gary did not include the mud flap, hubcap or wheel alignment on the original estimate but that he would remedy the situation right away. Ray was scheduled to pick up my vehicle from my work and drop it off today, August 22. Ray was very professional and wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with not only the work that was done on the parts but that the cleanliness of the car was up to my standards. John, the individual who cleaned my car did an impeccable job and made sure that the inside of my car was spotless from any of the dust that the car may have gotten while in the shop. I didn't have the best first experience with Gerber. If it wasn't for Jason, Ray and John doing such a wonderful job to make sure I left a happy customer, I would probably never go to Gerber again. You need more employees like them working for you to ensure that your reputation as a reputable company stays intact. From start to finish the customer service at Gerber was top notch, "10 out of 10". The day the work was done, I brought my rental car back 5 minutes late, but they still processed the return of my vehicle to me. Although the shop had just closed, Gary W. facilitated me getting my car & general manager Jason C. did the paper work for me. Also, the work is perfect on our car! Thank you so much!!!

Customer retention is key in any business and I have to say Gerber will be my first choice if need be not only for the work but mostly for the Customer service that came from Gary W. The customer service went above and beyond the call of duty I felt like they truly cared and sought to FIX my car at a good cost. They worked with me and made me feel appreciated. After someone hit my car and left a large dent and chipped my paint in my back passenger side door, it left me feeling more than anxious. My insurance directed me to Gerber , setting up an appointment was easy and quick (came in the day after reporting it) , the estimate was thorough and they walked me through each step and cost (especially since this was the first time doing anything like this) they put my mind at ease. I brought my car in a few days later to drop it off for body work. They drove me to enterprise for my rental car (which they helped set up) and five days later I dropped off the rental right there at Gerber, paid and picked up my car better than new. The folks at the Gerber Collision in Downers Grove did an outstanding job with our car. The work turned out great to the point that you can't even tell the car was damanged. And, it was done when they said it would be done. On top of that, they took good care of us by walking us through their plans for the job and answering every question we had, making sure that everyone was on the same page. Their customer service was the model for what good customer service should be. While I'm not hoping for another for another accident, I'll be happy to take my car back to them if I need to.
