Service was great! I felt like I was kept in the loop while my car was being fixed and everyone was so nice. When I came to pick up my car today, an unsavory character came into the shop. He was loitering and tried to steal a vehicle that was about to be taken into the service area. The receptionist alerted the estimator, and he told the intruder to exit the vehicle. The police were called and the man was arrested. Before the police came, the people at Gerber Collision had my son and me go into the back to stay safe. They gave him a juicebox and crayons so that he wouldn't be upset and they stood guarding us from the arrest. When the incident was cleared up, I had my hands full with my young son, carseat, and bags in hand and still had to return the rental car. One of the members at Gerber returned my rental car for me so that I could ... attend to my son and follow in my car to the rental facility. We were shown such hospitality and felt like they treated us like their own family. An inattentive driver who was texting collided into the back of my car while I was stopped at a red light. The damage was to the rear end of our 1993 Honda which prior to the collision was in pristine condition. Unfortunately there was some confusion concerning our initial appointment at Gerber. At the time of the collision I was receiving chemotherapy and was experiencing severe fatigue so USAA, our insurance company, arranged for an appraisal of the collision damages to be completed at our home. I then followed the instructions from USAA regarding making our appointment with the collision repair shop. My husband and I selected Gerber because of their excellent reputation. When I called to make the initial appointment with Gerber I informed them that we had a written appraisal. When Robert, my husband arrived at the appointed time with ... the car and the written appraisal Gerber refused to accept the car. He was told that they did not know that we were bringing a written appraisal and that Gerber would call us to reschedule. For a variety of reasons the delay of two more weeks caused a hardship on our family. We assumed incorrectly that USAA, Gerber and us the customer shared the same information regarding policies, practices and procedures. There was definitely miscommunication. My husband and I did not feel that this was a good business practice to be turned away and forced to reschedule. We had followed all of the instructions that we were given by USAA. We don't know if other customers have experienced this refusal of service but we hope that you will look in to this situation and devise a better practice .After this mix up was sorted out everything went smoothly. Our car was repaired quickly and the repairs were flawless. The car operates smoothly and safely. When I went to pick up the car at the shop, the staff were courteous and helpful. Because I was weak from chemotherapy they brought the car right up to the front door so that I would not have to walk far. I would recommend Gerber to family and friends in need of auto body repair. read more

I had service done about a year ago after being rear ended and am happy to say that the repairs have held up excellent! When I got the car back I was worried that repairs would not last or that I would be going back for other problems and am pleased that I only had to visit them once in between my busy work schedule. I was also very pleased when I did have the service done because the estimator Jose made the process quick and painless. He also gave me a few recommendations for caring for my car and answered my questions. I can honestly say that I will be back for repairs if needed be
