I had a great experience with Gerber this week. Jim Heitzman did a great job of replacing my bumper and buffing out scratches. Also commend Sam for his quality work. I felt like Gerber went the extra mile in providing customer satisfaction and would recommend to others.

We have been using Gerber for over 5 years now and am thrilled that our ins. carrier uses Gerber as a repair facility. The work is always done exceptionally well and always on time. We always ask for Raul Rodriguez and he is the best. Raul is the primary reason we continue to use Gerber. He is just great letting us know how things are going and keep us up to speed. I always let people know about Gerber and tell them to ask for Raul.

Bill Sellke did an excellent job repairing the bumper on our 2001 Ford Explorer. It's evident he did not leave a stone unturned, found additional damage that was not seen at the time of the estimate but was something that needed to be repaired. Extremely happy with Bill's attention to the details and workmanship.

I am very impressed with the workmanship as well as the customer service I recieved from Gerber. I recieved a phone call the morning that I brought my car in and was told that once the car was disassembled there was additional hidden dmage discovered which meant that instead of being able to repair those parts, they would need to be replaced. Tim told me that those parts probably wouldn't arrive until the following afternoon, thus delaying the total repair time by a day or two. After that I received a call every day or two with a status update and assurance that the car was still on schedule to be completed by the revised date. I really appreciate the information that was given to me with the original estimate explaining the stages of auto body repair work, because I didn't know what they were, or how long each of those stages takes to ... complete for a repair like mine. When I recieved status updates, I was always told what stage of repair my car was in and how long it was estimated to be in that stage. My car was repaired right on time, and I was kept informed of the progress throughout the process. It's been a long time since I had to have my car repaired at a body shop, and I've never had one repaired by Gerber before, but the other body shops that I've dealt with in the past have done nice work on my vehicles, but a terrible job of communicating what's going on. I was given estimated completion dates, and when I went to pick my car up it wasn't ready - no phone call either. Those repairs were delayed for weeks, and I got the feeling all along that they hadn't even started the repairs until well after I dropped the car off to be repaired. Communication goes such a long way! Even when it's not what a customer wants to hear, at least they know what's going on. I appreciate the summarized information regarding the stages of body repair work, including what's involved with each of those stages, and how long they should take depending on the extent of the damage. Also there was an Enterprise satelite office located right at the Gerber Ato body shop so I didn't even have to put any thought into where to get a rental or where to drop one off later - it was right there. I didn't need to inconvenience anyone else for a ride. Thansk for thinking of that too! Thanks Tim, Jenny and Laura! You all did a great job of keeping me informed and getting my car done on time! I drove in, got a reasonable estimate and my car got repaired expertly in a timely manner. My sales rep, David was awesome. he was professional, thorough and easy to talk to. I hope I don't have another accident but if i do, I'll definitely go to the Gerber shop in Skokie.

Since there was quite a bit of damage done to my car I was worried that it may never be the same. Thank goodness I was wrong. The car looks beautiful and rides even better and I'm positive it will provide years of save service to my our family. The car was finished sooner than expected and I was happy that my insurance company's rental coverage did not expire. I was called and given consistent updates on my car as the work was performed which added to my level of confidence. I met the General Manager of the shop and learned that cars are not only his line of work, but also his hobby and his employees definitely shared his enthusiasm and passion for doing their jobs right the first time. Although I hope I don't have to go back there I will definitely recommend them and if I have any more unfortunate experiences with either of my cars ... Gerber will be performing the repairs. read more
