Not just the best experience with an auto body shop but the best service shop experience ever. My son got into a fender bender with one of his classmates at school. We decided to pay the damage out of pocket since our expectation was it would be under $1000. The damage total exceeded that amount and instead charging us per the estimate, they decided to drop it down to $1000. Just to be clear, they did not skimp out on the work because this all happened AFTER the work was done. THANKS SOUTH ELGIN GERBER!

I want your corporate office to know I received outstanding service from the manager of your Evanston Gerber outlet. I had had a minor traffic accident where my front bumper hit a taxi’s rear bumper. The damage to the taxi, State Farm determined was less about $340. Mr. Woodcock took a cloth and wiped some white powder from the taxi’s rear bumper on my front bumper, and said there was no additional damage. He did not charge me for the work which took perhaps 5 minutes. He could have suggested some big inspection and additional costs as some body shops might do, but he was honest with me and said there is nothing else to do. I had always been a customer of Rick at M & D Auto before Gerber bought his business. He always was straight forward with my family on repairs, as was Mr. Woodcock. I had an accident and brought my car to the Gerber shop in Evanston. The customer service was great...the car took longer to repair than had been anticipated and they extended the free rental by a couple of days to accommodate. It was very much appreciated!

Rob and his crew at this new Gerber shop are just fantastic. He and the work done were highly professional, always on time, always did what was promised, and always very friendly and accommodating. The work done on the car was perfect, and the detailing to clean the car inside and out was superb. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

The last week of November I was involved in a car collision. At my work place there are few near by auto shops I took my car for a couple of estimates but the workers of the shops were NOT very friendly. The workers were pressuring me to leave my car and were not explaining clearly enough the work that my car needed. A customer at my work place mentioned Gerber by West Huron and because of the great recommendation I decided to take my car to Gerber's Collision. The manager Rick Hiselman, as well as Tim Dulin the estimator who were very friendly in answering my questions and making sure all my needs were met. Jim Heitzman provided outstanding service. He was very customer friendly, outgoing, and eager to help. The body work done on my car was outstanding. You would never know my car had ever been in an accident.
