IL - 1430 W Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights - 2/1/18

I was recently involved in a automobile accident, but was not at fault, so the claimant's insurance agency was AAA. My vehicle was towed to Gerber Collision at my request due to it's location near my home. I received timely updates via phone and text. Staff was professional on all levels, either in person or on the phone. The vehicle was ready earlier than expected and an offer was even made to deliver the car! Service such as I received with this Gerber location is not the normal when doing business. It is so often the case that employees and companies only hear the complaints. Since the experience was so exceptional, I wanted to make sure I took the time to compliment. Let me know if you need anything further and keep up the great work.

Gerber was amazing. They were so courteous and helpful. They let me know every step of the way what was going on with my vehicle. They had it repaired a week earlier than expected and cleaned the inside and outside of the vehicle. The repairs are beautiful as well. They made it very easy and I would highly recommend them!

Review for Rick E. I picked up my repaired KIA on Fri. 1/26 evening but did not drive it the rest of the weekend. On Mon. I heard a very slight knocking sound but did not think anything of it since it is a 2010 car. On Tues. the sound was much louder coming from the rear passenger side. I thought it might be the breaks but since I just got the car back from Gerber perhaps it possibly could be a loose clip or something else. Rick was able to assist with isolating the issue to be something with the breaks and nothing related to the rear bumper that was replaced.

Today I had the BEST experience at the Downer's Grove location. Rick E. and the reception staff there were very helpful, thorough and so effective. Rick repaired my car as a follow up to repairs made in April of 2016. He was patient with my "there's this noise..." Turns out there was a bolt or some such thing that had come undone and caused the rubbing noise. Thank you so much. Kudos to Rick and his collegues.

Brought my wives car in for a estimate. Could not close drivers door without first lifting the door and closing it. I thought it could be the door hinge being bent due to an individual hitting the door with his car. Elise (the Gerber Estimator) looked at the door and asked if she could have one of her technicians look at the door. Elise asked me to wait in the waiting area and she would get back to me in a few minutes. Five minutes later Elise came and requested that I come back by my car and try opening and closing the door which I did without having to lift the door first. The technician said he made a slight adjustment and that fixed the problem. Elise asked if I was satisfied and I said I was totally satisfied. Elise requested I call the insurance company and dismiss the claim, which I did. There was no charge, no inconvenience to me, ... and I was back on the road in a half hour from the time I arrived . What a great experience and what a pleasure to deal with a company (Gerber Collision and Glass), and a customer orientated individual )Elise). What a great experience. I was beyond pleased with the service I received at the Gerber Collision in Oak Forest. Everyone there was very nice, my vehicle was completed when they said it would be. I loved getting the text messages letting me know about the status of my vehicle. Everyone there that I dealt with was very nice. Not only did they fix the outside of my vehicle, it was a nice surprise to have the inside cleaned as well. Would highly recommend this location!!!

Wanted to drop a quick positive note regarding your Downers Grove facility. Prior to finding Gerber I used to feel like visiting the body shop was like visiting the dentist or the doctor - a necessary evil. Now I don't really mind it. The two receptionist are fantastic and execute at a high level of customer service - even when the phones are ringing off the hook. Great coffee and clean waiting room with excellent high speed WiFi connection. I've had my car, and my wife's car, fixed at this location several times. Simple things like replacing a fuse or side mirror; to door, quarter panel, and bumper replacement, to major rear end work. No matter what the size of the project these guys fully dial in and get the job done professionally, cost effectively, and in a timely manner. Parts match up and repainted sections match the existing ... surfaces. If you're not 100% satisfied they encourage ou to bring it back so they can fix whatever deficiency you feel you have. Rick E. is their Production Manager. He's a fantastic guy and this whole place starts with him. I've had the opportunity to walk the garage with him and see the way he interacts with his staff. You can tell they respect him and enjoy working for him and Gerber. Happy employees make great employees and those are the kind I want working on my car. Bottom line - when I need auto body work done there's no other facility or company I even consider. I should note I'm not in any way tied to this company. Don't personally know anyone that works at this company. I just think in general people spend too much time complaining about the bad treatment and bad experiences they have and not enough time writing up when things are good.
