Lubbock, TX - 806 50th St

My son was in an accident over Christmas. Gerber was recommended by our insurance company. They were very kind and communicative thru the process. Took longer than anticipated but that's fine. My son had to go back to OK for college so when the truck was ready, my daughter and her friend returned it to him in OK. He immediately had issues so as soon as he was back for the summer, we took it back. They thought they fixed what the issues were but as soon as I left the lot, i took it to fill it with gas and the gasoline went everywhere! I drove it straight back and they kept it again. They ended up taking it to McWhorter's who said it would be almost $1000 to fix it and ins wasn't going to pay due to the amount of time between the wreck and now and there was no way to prove it was due to the wreck. I didn't agree, but, didn't have much ... choice so I paid for it and went on my way. Some time later, I got a call from Guy, the new manager of this area, who told me the damage was definitely related to the accident. He apologized and said if I'd send the McWhorter's receipt, they would take care of everything and fight with my insurance about it. They ended up convincing my insurance company that very same day that it was related and should be covered and I had the money back in my acct the next day! I was beyond surprised at this honesty and how forthcoming Guy was about the issues with the truck, etc. I'll recommend them to anyone as it's SO hard to find an honest company who wants to do right by their customers! To call me out of the blue after things had already been "resolved" and offer to make this right, is unheard of! It was such a relief and I've told several people about my experience. Ivy & Janie were the best! Whenever I called I'd get Ivy & she was always friendly & informative. I mainly dealt with Janie when I made in-person visits. She too was friendly and informative, especially when it came to my rental. Brennan kept me in the know with updates on my car & explained everything thoroughly. I strongly recommend gerber for any repairs. I was completely satisfied with the facility, the employees & their work. Nice job guys!

Michael S. was my estimator. He gave me notices and kept me up to date with the whole process and made everything super easy for me. He gave me better customer service than anywhere else i've been in any store or department. The shop didn't hold my car for weeks, when they realized it would take time for the parts to come back, Michael called me and let me i could pick up my car and drive it until they came in. Once i took it back in, i got my car back and they delivered it to me within 2 days. Both Michael and Isac B. were friendly and very easy to talk to. You can tell that they care about their customers and the satisfaction of their customers. They never seemed in a rush to do other business but they valued me as a customer. I would recommend this shop and specifically those two men to anybody!

My experience with Gerber was more than I could of hoped for! I can not remember girl at front desk name but she was so helpful> Nice smile made me feel comfortable. Micheal was great at his job and explained things to me twice weekly. good guy! It took awhile but not Gerber fault parts took weeks to get there.
