Service was fantastic. I was kept up to date via text everyday and phone calls every 3 days with the status of the repairs. The repairs were also completed 2 days ahead of the scheduled completion date. The only problem I had was having to wait about 2 weeks to even get the vehicle in, I am not reducing the rating for this as we were still able to drive the vehicle.

I stopped at this Gerber location, because of location, close to where I live in Oak Forest. I had put a scratch on my vehicle backing out of the garage. I was sick because my vehicle was just over 2 years old. I was met at the lobby by Don H. manager of Gerber. Told him of my story we went out to look at the damage. Don explained that he could have the vehicle taken to the back puff it and touch it up and that I should wait until winter has passed and if in the Spring I would still like to have it repaired he would do an estimate for me. I agreed and my vehicle was worked on. While waiting which was less then half hour he offered me coffee, soda or water. We talked about the facility and the staff. Everyone there was wonderful made me feel like I was talking with old friends. My car looks better and when I went to pay him he said no ... charge. I have never heard of such a thing in this day and age. I cannot speak more highly of Don and his staff will let it be known to family and friends where to go if need car repair. There should be more people like Don in this world. read more

Could not have asked for a better experience!! We dropped our Prius with all its "big, giant raccoon" damage using the overnight drop off. First thing Monday, Jessica called us with the estimate and they began work immediately. Jessica kept us updated every step of the way! Jessica did her best to keep the price reasonable for me and I really appreciate all her efforts! My car came back to me in beautiful condition!!! We will definitely come back here if we ever need body work done again!

Tom S. is a rarity in an area of business rampant with unethical people. Tom is honest, respectful, and courteous. As a woman, I dread having to do anything associated with automotive service. When I walked into Gerber Deland, I walked into a business, not a shop. I was given a fair price and my car was ready a day ahead of time. A few days after I picked my car up, I had questions about an unrelated area with my car. Tom graciously took time out of his schedule to assist me. You can be sure that I will be recommending Gerber Deland to anyone in need. I also will be sure to mention the business' name as people compliment the wonderful repair work performed.
