I searched around quite a few places to have my new vehicle repaired. I choose the right place . The ladies at the front desk were very helpful. I met the Estimator Semaj Stinson who was so helpful in explaining all that was to be done. He made out estimateI got an appointment shortly after. He called to say bring it in,and proceeded to keep me informed for each step when completed, until he called with the good news COME PICK IT UP!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this place ,U could not be happier. I hope this gets through!! I SENT A PREVIOUS ONE NOT SURE IT GOT THROUGH

It's not that often that I write a review. It's time consuming and it is rare to find a business that truly cares enough about the customer rather than the bottom line. The exact opposite is what I experienced when I went to Gerber Collision & Glass in Palatine. I have a 2022 Volvo and must have gone over a curb or hit a pot hole and, as a result, the rocker panel at the bottom of the car was pushed forward about 3/4". There was no concern regarding driving the car, it just looked bad. I brought the car to a Volvo dealership and was quoted over $1000 to fix it. The rocker panel purportedly needed to be replaced ($425 for the part), clips & fasteners and paint was almost $200 and labor another $450. Two months later I was passing a popular auto repair and collision center near the town where I live. I felt I had nothing to ... loose by asking for a quote to repair the damage. They said it couldn't be fixed, that too many clips and brackets were broken. They gave me a written quote which included having to get the $425 Rocker panel from Volvo, parts and labor...all coming to $1,089. Now for the rare part of this story. This morning I brought my car into Gerber Collision & Glass in Palatine. I told Chris, the manager, the history of what had happened and what others wanted to charge me. He looked at my car in the parking lot and said "Let me see what we could do." Less that 10 minutes later my car was done! It looked like new. I asked him what the charge would be and he said there wasn't any charge! What an unbelievable display of kindness. I don't know what Seco, the Gerber mechanic who actually worked on the car knew, that the Volvo dealership and local auto repair shop didn't know. Front desk young lady is very nice and friendly, estimator Michael W is very professional and efficient. I was able to get my car back a few days sooner than I expected. The shop did a wonderful job on repairing the rear bumper! They kept me updated through text messages during the whole process, overall 5 Star ratings!

It was nice they keep me informed with a text with each step that was happening. Just picked the car up today. Looks great. They also explained about the 100% guarantee with Gerber.

Just wanted to take a minute and leave some feedback. I am very happy with my repairs. you guys took the time to keep me in the loop about the process and when the car was ready, it looks beautiful. The only thing is that it took forever to get a headlamp that wasn't damaged. i know that isn't your fault and you kept me informed which is very important. Thank you so much for taking care of my convertible mustang like you did. I promise to be more careful. ;)

The team at this Gerber shop is amazing: Jake, Klaudia, and Don. They helped me through a very difficult and stressful time with my Volkswagen Tiguan being damaged by a U-Haul. They answered all of my numerous questions on several different occasions throughout the entire process. You can't even tell it was damaged! It looks beautiful once again! These fine folks IMPECCABLY repaired my car after a deer strike.....I guess it's been about a month or so ago. Today, I walked in their door with a problem and a sheepish grin. It was a headlight issue. Now. I use pronouns because Im TERRIBLE with names.....as I explain to the lady up front what my issue is, the gent who wrote the repair estimate (and who probably did the work) overheard and essentially said, "let's see what's going on. I showed him the problem (bad bulb). He grabs a new one, replaced it and now I have all the lights I'm supposed to have. I asked, "Breakfast or a beer?" He said, "Nothing. Those bulbs SHOULD work when they're new." Gerber made things right.

Unfortunately I have had 2 collisions with deer as well as a hit and run. I hit a deer every other year. No matter the reason, I always choose Gerber because they are the best at what they do. They keep me informed and my suv is returned to me better than it was when I bought it. I highly recommend this location.
